I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was sitting on floor of the closet, already 15 minutes late for the party, in my SPANX (and nothing else), with at least four different shirts and three pairs of pants that I had tried on and been discarded, on the verge of an ugly cry.
I looked up and told my husband…“I don’t want to go. I just feel so ugly.”
It was one of my worst days ever.
Hi, I'm Kelly.
I don’t have a degree in fashion or fashion merchandising. I’ve never been a stylist or even worked in a clothing store. And I don’t sew (much to the chagrin of my mom and grandma.)
So, what makes me think I’m an expert in fashion?
Because after that fateful closet meltdown, I decided to learn every-loving-thing I could about the way clothes and fashion works on my unique body.
I learned how to dress my unique body in a stylish, flattering way. I learned putting together an amazing outfit has less to do with being “creative” and everything to do with formulas found in math and science. I learned I could love all the clothes in my wardrobe and never feel like I had “nothing to wear”. I learned how to be my own personal stylist.
And this knowledge empowered me to feel beautiful on the outside and the inside.
And now I’m a mission to provide this knowledge to other women so they can feel the same empowerment.

- I'm a University of Nebraska graduate and a HUGE college football fan. GO HUSKERS!
- I love coffee, wine, and popcorn (not necessarily in that order).
- Can’t get enough of The Real Housewives {insert any city}.
- My favorite place in the world? Next to the water.

I’m married to my college boyfriend, Jake (we met on a blind date) and live in a Kansas City suburb. We have two kiddos - Nathan, a college junior at the University of Nebraska who loves to be with friends; and Eve, a high school senior who loves to sing; and a pound-puppy, Ruby who loves to sleep.
